Abstract
The Brazilian social movements on the Internet and the content produced by them on
the YouTube video platform are the object of this research. To help better
circumscribe the contents produced by the movements channels: Teto Brasil,
MetalTV Curitiba And Lift Popular Youth were studied from January 2014 to
January 2018. The objective of the analysis was to verify the presence of formats
and genres of television journalism in the contents posted, used by the Media of the
Sources with the aim of guaranteeing the credibility of their messages. The literature
searches the origins of social movements, with Coggiola (2010) and Arruda (2011)
the new social movements, beginning of the 21st century and its characteristics,
mainly from Melucci (2001) and Gohn (2000, 2011). Another theoretical axis works
on journalistic credibility, with the principles and concepts of credibility and trust,
based on the approaches of Giddens (1991), Machado (2006), Amossy (2001) and
Bourdieu (2008) and journalism with Bucci (2000) Amaral (1996), Lage (2001)
among others. It is also approached the concept of Source Media, with Sant'ana
(2005), Kopplin and Ferraretto (1996) and Chaparro (2011) and the informative
formats and genres on television with Souza (2004). The methodological basis works
with Netnography, a contemporary development of anthropology that studies human
phenomena on the internet, was the basis for the recognition of the object of study
and content analysis, Bardin (2009).
