Análise da qualidade ambiental urbana na cidade de Ponta Grossa ( PR ) : avaliação de algumas propostas metodológicas

Abstract

The present master dissertation presents from the literature review a discussion about urban ambient quality (UAQ), being this understood as a result of interrelation between society x nature, into a perspective of geographic science. The main objective of this dissertation is to analyze the Pontagrossense urban ambient quality, using the Geographic Information System (GIS). For this, is used two methodological proposals: the first Garcia (2001) and the second Kawakubo, Luchiari e Morato (2005). After the application of these methodologies a diagnosis is elaborated of UAQ of Ponta Grossa and an analysis about its contribution and limitations of these methodologies. From the results gathered, notice that both are not sufficient to get UAQ. The interest in studying the urban ambient quality of Ponta Grossa, PR, reside in the necessity of better comprehension of the relations and transformations which this town has been passing throughout the last decade in relation of socio-ambient reasons.
