This study was motivated by the relationship between the organization of a full-time school and the promotion of inclusive education. The research aimed to analyze the institutional organization of a public full-time school located in the municipality of Palmeira (PR) and its implications for fostering social skills within the context of inclusive education, thereby providing a foundation for developing an educational resource aligned with the study's findings. Grounded in the theories of authors such as Vygotsky and Del Prette and Del Prette, this research employed a qualitative case study approach of an exploratory and descriptive nature, organized into three interconnected phases: document analysis, development of the educational resource, and presentation and appraisal of the resource by the participating teachers. In the first phase, data collection involved analyzing institutional documents and records related to pedagogical practices, seeking to identify educational intentions regarding social interaction, participation, and social skill development— concepts understood through the lens of Del Prette and Del Prette. In the second phase, the evidence derived from the document analysis, combined with the theoretical framework, informed the development of the educational resource's initial version. In the third phase, the children's supplementary educational book developed during the study was presented to six teachers; five of them participated in semistructured interviews, aimed at understanding their perceptions regarding the promotion of social skills in the school setting and the pedagogical potential of the educational resource. Data were analyzed using Content Analysis, following Bardin (2011). The results revealed that institutional documents reflect intentions focused on holistic development, social interaction, participation, and inclusive education, even though social skills are not explicitly systematized within these documents. The findings also highlighted both alignments and challenges regarding the relationship between these intentions and the pedagogical practices reported by the participants—practices whose effective implementation depends on intentional pedagogical mediation, the organization of educational work, and favorable institutional conditions. In the teachers' view, the educational resource holds the potential to foster dialogue regarding emotions, social interaction, participation, and social skills, thereby helping to overcome attitudinal barriers and strengthen more inclusive and empathetic pedagogical practices. As an outcome of the research, the children's supplementary reading book I See with My Little Eyes: Lina Between Seeing and Feeling and the Reading Mediation Guide for Educators were developed and conceived as pedagogical mediation resources aimed at promoting and strengthening communication, empathy, self-control, assertiveness, and cooperation within the school setting.
