Jogos estudantis das escolas municipais de Ponta Grossa – PR: a atuação dos professores de educação física na preparação das equipes esportivas

Abstract

This research had as object of study the preparation of sports teams for participation in the Student Games of Municipal Schools -JEEM, ponta grossa-PR. The research is qualitative, being a descriptive case study (TRIVIÑOS, 1987; Marconi; LAKATOS, 2010; LÜDKE; ANDRÉ, 2013; SEVERINO, 2007). The general objective of the research was to analyze how physical education teachers prepare sports teams for participation in the Student Games of Municipal Schools-JEEM, from Ponta Grossa- PR. The specific objectives of the research are: to uncover the conception of physical education teachers about the JEEM of Ponta Grossa-PR; identify the theoretical methodological procedures of physical education teachers for the preparation of sports teams for the JEEM of Ponta Grossa-PR; to verify the obstacles faced by physical education teachers in the preparation of sports teams for the JEEM of Ponta Grossa- PR; the assumptions of the General Regulation of the JEEM of Ponta Grossa-PR (2019). The theoretical framework was based on the concepts of Pierre Bourdieu's social theory (1989, 1997, 2003, 2004, 2007, 2013), on the foundations of educational sport and the pedagogy of sport (TUBINO, 1992; KUNZ, 2000; SANTANA, 2005; CASTELLANI FILHO et al., 2009; GAYA; TORRES, 2004; GALATTI; PAES; DARIDO, 2010; FREIRE, 2012), in the academic production strictu sensu on school sports competitions, and in the care needed in sports competitions for children (SANTANA, 1996; MARQUES, 1997, 2004; KORSAKAS, 2002; DE ROSE JR., 2002; GAYA; TORRES, 2004; DE ROSE JÚNIOR; KORSAKAS, 2006; PAES, 2006). The research involved the following data collection procedures: structured interview with nine (9) physical education teachers from the initial years of elementary school, from eight (8) schools of the municipal school system of Ponta Grossa-PR; and documentary analysis of the General Regulation of JEEM of Ponta Grossa-PR (2019). The research data were organized according to the methodological theoretical assumptions of Content Analysis (BARDIN, 2016). It was concluded that: teachers understand the JEEM of Ponta Grossa-PR as a fairer space of dispute for municipal schools to participate in sports competitions; teachers understand school sports competitions as a way to promote educational and social values for students; the teachers state that they face many obstacles in the preparation of sports teams, especially in relation to the schedules for training, the transport of the teams to the place of the games and the documentation required of the students by the organizing body of the sporting event. It is expected that the results of this research contribute to the development of sports teams for the JEEM of Ponta Grossa-PR, and to establish reflections on their importance, the possibility of improvements, aiming at the participation of a larger number of students from the municipal school system.
