Abstract
This dissertation aims to be a review work and, in turn, present the main results found
in the literature related to non-classical properties of Graph States. More specifically,
strategic concepts are presented in the characterization and quantification of entangle-
ment for this class of states. Here, entanglement is conceptually situated in order to
understand the role it plays in the context of graph states. In addition, tools and pos-
sible treatments are presented that result in the identification of non-local properties
in this class of states, for example, proposals for obtaining Bell inequalities for graph
states and arguments of the GHZ type for cluster states, a particular case of graph
states, and of singular interest in quantum computing.
