Abstract

The wild boar sus scrofa is an animal considered exotic and its population in the territory has been growing in number and in the area occupied. The absence of natural control causes several inconveniences to producers, due to its destructive action on plantations and, related to unique health, transmit diseases to domestic animals and man himself. This study aimed at the interaction of wild boars with other animals and man, having as the main group of studies the servants of State Parks. Samples were collected from servers in different parks and serological and molecular analyzes were carried out for zoonoses, such as Toxoplasmosis, Leptospirosis, Brazilian Spotted Fever and Leishmaniasis. Most of those surveyed had contact with wild animals, including wild boar, and animal carcasses/abortions, they also had unforeseen events with ticks. Regarding eating habits, they consume undercooked meat and drink running water in the native forest, customs that facilitate the transmission of zoonoses. The exams, however, showed that a small portion had positive IgG and all had negative IgM. Regarding toxocara, 22% were positive. It is worth remembering that this disease can be transmitted by domestic animals. The evaluation of toxoplasmosis 4% were positive.
