O radiojornalismo no interior do Paraná: as lógicas de produção da notícia na Rádio CBN Ponta Grossa

Abstract

This work aims to understand how news production is carried out at Radio CBN Ponta Grossa and, in this way, contribute to the understanding of news in a regional context. The research mobilizes theories that help in the path of methodological foundation and construction, from authors who investigate radio journalism and its interfaces, as well as providing input to understand the working conditions affected by new technologies. The choice of the empirical object was based on the model of all news from the vehicle and membership in a national network, which led to the problem of this research, which involves the tension between local news production and the network head. Data collection took place through observation guided by the ethnographic approach at Radio CBN Ponta Grossa and through interviews with professionals. The approved methodological set allowed access to the news production environment, identifying the actions that are repeated, that is, what is routine and those that are eventually discontinued. The interest is to signify the news on the radio, considering the role of journalists and the tension with the headquarters. The interviews helped in the confrontation process or clarified the observation. As a result, it is agreed that news production, given the relatively precarious radio structure, is carried out within the studio using technological devices and dependent on communication consultancy. The news, despite the attempt to get closer to the place, ends up being distanced, moving away from the very nature of radio, given the lack of its own production and the excessive use of external materials. Subordinated to the head of the network, in line with objectivity, the news on Radio CBN Ponta Grossa is broadcast, above all, to fulfill the level of programming, which creates distance from the public interest of the municipality.
