Humanização na Terapia Intensiva: Percepção de diferentes sujeitos sobre a utilização da chamada de vídeo em tempos de afastamento social decorrentes da COVID-19

Abstract

This research has as its main objective to understand the perception of different subjects about the use of video calls in the process of hospitalization in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), in the circumstance of social distancing due to COVID-19, with a view to improvement of humanization in services provided to users. The methodology adopted was an exploratory, descriptive study with a qualitative approach. For data collection, a semi-structured interview was used, containing open and closed questions, with a specific script for of subject’s research about video calls and their relationship with humanization, welcoming and communication in health. Data were analyzed using the Content Analysis technique and discussed in the light of world literature, bringing to light the importance of health care technology by the multidisciplinary team in an ICU environment. The aim is, through this research, to expand discussions and reflections on the theme of humanization and person- centered care in times of social distancing, as well as to promote the improvement of the quality of services provided and the guarantee of the rights of individuals effected through actions based on public policies.
