Visual Law aplicada à Justiça do Trabalho no Brasil: proposta de adoção de resumo expandido de atos judiciais

Abstract

This dissertation study object is Visual Law, a methodology geared to the legal language simplification published in Brazilian journals and legal acts since 2020. Visual Law can be adopted as a complement in the Law routine, as it facilitates the understanding of technical and specialized language, aiming at the access to Justice, a fundamental right. Thus, the main objective of this dissertation is to propose the adoption of an expanded summary in Labor Justice judicial acts in Brazil. The methodology is both qualitative and quantitative, relying on literature and document review, data collection, analysis and presentation, a case study regarding an Appeal Against Judgment and the participant approach when developing the Workshop associated to the immersion internship held at the Judicial School of the 9th Region Regional Labor Court (Tribunal Regional do Trabalho da 9 Região – TRT9). Data collection and analysis were based on Content Analysis. It concludes that there is interest in adopting the methodology on the part of legal professionals and that its addition represents a complement to the traditional technical and specialized text, making it possible to reach broader audiences, thus being an instrument of access to Justice through the simplification of legal language.
