A adaptação dos imigrantes ao mercado de trabalho no Brasil: um estudo de caso na empresa Braslar Eletrodomésticos Ltda.

Abstract

On May 24, 2017, Law n. 13.445 was sanctioned by the President of the Republic, responsible for defining the rights and duties of migrants and visitors in Brazil, in addition to regulating the entry and stay of foreigners, as well as establishing rules for the protection of Brazilians abroad. The approved text replaces the old 1980 legislation, the Foreigner Statute, built from the perspective of national security. Among the innovations brought by the law is that migration becomes a right invested with fundamental rights andduties and no longer based on national security, which even restricted foreign access tothe labor market. in order to contribute to the discussion on the adaptation of immigrantsto the labor market in Brazil, carrying out a case study with the company Braslar Eletrodomésticos Ltda. which carried out the hiring of approximately 20 immigrants of different nationalities, including haitians, venezuelans and cubans. In order to reach the proposed objective, exploratory research of a qualitative nature was carried out. As for the data collection methods, bibliographical research, documental research, semi- structured questionnaires and interviews were used, treated through content analysis.A
