O potencial de uso do rejeito de óleo vegetal para produção de biodiesel em Ponta Grossa - PR

Abstract

The present work evaluates the generation of eatable oils rejects in the urban area of Ponta Grossa-PR and its potential use in biodiesel production, one of the alternative energy sources that continually receives great attention from the contemporary society. For the accomplishment of this research a quantitative survey in establishments residential, commercial and industrial generation was made of vegetable oil residue in the city, as well the volume space distribution of generated residue. In order to evidence the social relations capable to operate the generation system, collect and use of vegetable oil reject it was carried through a survey of the involved agents in the process and establishing its relation profile of actions and characteristics. The generated monthly volume of used vegetable oil is about 56,229 liters and the use of this reject for the production of biodiesel means the substitution of approximate 5% of the total diesel consumed monthly in the city, besides reducing the launching of this residue in the sewer system of the city. The net around the generation process, collects and use presents local characteristics of institutional / personal relations that can be optimal and extended. However, there is still the necessity of reorganization of the "ambient agents" functions, since they evidence a fragility in establishing social ties. The research inserts in the discussions about the concept of territory development where the concept of territory is central, in this context, the territory, while tram of values and intentions of a community, is also an actor in the development process.
