Abstract

Knowing the variables that influence the development of cultivated plants allows decisions to be made that improve crop efficiency. The objectives of this work are to define, in a simple and practical way, management zones with different productive potentials within the uniformly managed area. To verify the influence of spatial variability on the optimal nitrogen dose in wheat crop. The work was implemented in the municipality of Ivaí - PR, the experiment consists of two stages, the first consists of the characterization of the physical-chemical attributes of the area and the second consists of the implementation of an experiment with nitrogen fertilization doses (N). Through NDVI analysis of two agricultural years, five areas were observed. In these, physical, chemical, landscape and structural aspects of the soil were considered. In possession of these two points were delimited where an experiment was carried out aiming at differentiated handling of nitrogen in coverage (0, 30, 60, 90 and 120 kg ha-1 of N). There is no effect of doses of N on grain yield and any of its components. The falling number increased linearly as a function of N doses in both management zones. During the crop cycle there was a period of severe water deficiency, compromising its development.
