"Uma Operação de seu Tempo": os impactos da BNCC sobre os capítulos teóricos em livros didáticos de História do Ensino Fundamental

Abstract

The text presents the dissertation of the Professional Master's Degree in History Teaching (ProfHistória – UEPG), which compares the theoretical perspectives and changes in the Theory of History chapters of History textbooks before and after the approval of the National Common Curricular Basis (called BNCC). The study aims to identify the main theoretical topics and concepts in the textbooks, comparing works destined for the National Textbook Program (called PNLD) editions of 2017 and 2020.

The research uses two types of methodology, descriptive-quantitative and descriptive- qualitative methodology with emphasis on content analysis and selects works

published before and after the BNCC. For the execution of the work, the research aims to understand how the theoretical elements presented in the initial chapter of the textbook were organized during the last years of the PCN's validity and in the first years of BNCC implementation. The main conclusions show that the BNCC reinforces chronology as the only possible approach but provides space for criticism and other theoretical perspectives. It also indicates that textbooks reflect social, political, and curricular changes, with a tendency to a standardization post-BNCC.
