Circulando relacionamentos: a justiça restaurativa como instrumento de empoderamento da mulher e responsabilização do homem no enfrentamento da violência doméstica e familiar

Abstract

The purpose of this dissertation is to analyze the perceptions of participants who underwent restorative practices in cases of domestic violence committed against women in intimate affection relations with men attended by the “Circulando Relacionamentos” Project in 2018 in Ponta Grossa – Paraná State. This study is guided by the dialectical historical materialism method, in order to apprehend the studied phenomenon. To take care for the proposed objective, it is predominantly qualitative exploratory-descriptive and quantitative, as well as a case study, involving the following methodological procedures: bibliographic research, documentary research, participant observation and semi-structured interviews, whose statements were systematized through a content analysis. In the bibliographic research, the categories of the restorative justice, gender, domestic and family violence were structured, which later guided the analysis of research information. Documentary research was conducted from international and national documents and legislation on domestic violence against women and on the emergence of restorative justice. Empirical research was carried out at CEJUSC-PG, with participant observation of the organization, attendance referral flows and development of the “Circulando Relacionamentos” project, where the interviewed were selected based on 2 (two) criteria: a) cases in which violence occurred against the woman during the intimate relationship of affection with men, attended by the project in the year 2018, b) voluntariness. A total of 7 (seven) semi-structured interviews were conducted, with 5 (five) women and 2 (two) men. From the execution of the methodological procedures and under the theoretical reference of the categories already presented, five (5) empirical categories were created: a) characterization of the subjects; b) violence committed by man; c) affective relationship between the subjects; d) restorative justice: referrals and perception by the subjects; e) restorative circles: perception and unfolding. After the investigation and the analysis of research information, it was observed that empowerment and accountability are instruments of social and cultural transformation and, in this way, the concerns and potentialities of the restorative practice were identified, as well as, systematized guidelines and minimum orientation for the creation of restorative projects and programs for dealing with situations of domestic violence practiced against women in intimate relations of affection with men.
