“Sequência didática para o ensino de estatística do 8º ano do ensino fundamental com a incorporação de planilhas eletrônicas”

Abstract

This study, in its content, suggests the use of technology as an important tool on the teaching- learning process of mathematics, particularly on the teaching of statistics. Statistics, within Mathematics, is present in all grades of Basic Education (Child Education, Elementary School and High School). It presents the statistical contents covered in each year of Elementary School and High School and, especially, those covered in the 8th year of Elementary School. A brief report on the Coronavirus is made: types, origin, first confirmed cases in Brazil and in the world, prevention measures and the concept of moving average. Finally, it brings a proposal for a didactic sequence composed of eight classes, aiming to help Basic Education teachers to work with programmatic statistical content provided for in the National Common Curriculum Base for classes of the 8th year of Elementary School. This proposal suggests the incorporation of technological resources (computers and spreadsheets) to teach the contents of Statistics in a dynamic and contextualized way based on Covid-19 data from the city of Carambeí, Paraná.
