Teoremas de Ponto Fixo e aplicações para o Ensino Médio

Abstract

The aim of this is to study the three Fixed Point Theorems, i.e., Banach, Brouwer and Schauder, by means of their respective proofs as well as their interesting applications to several areas. Such theorems deal with existence and uniqueness of fixed point of some applications A : M 􀀀! M, where A and M satisfy suitable hypotheses. Such fixed point theorems provide mathematical tools in order to prove other interesting results and also to generate methods to solve integral and differential equations. Additionally, the concept of fixed point will be carefully adapted in order to be able to be taught in the Middle and also in the High School by applying some activities containing applications to Fractal Geometry and also to be Google Search.
