O ensino de história e o combate à violência contra mulheres: reflexões a partir de homicídios de mulheres em Ponta Grossa na primeira república

Abstract

The study addresses the role of teaching History and combating violence against women, especially in current cases of feminicide. To develop the research, we discuss the legal and social changes and continuities in cases of homicide of women, based on criminal proceedings involving the death of women during the First Republic in the city of Ponta Grossa. The reflection involves the concepts of gender and power, through the legal narratives of gender violence against women contained in the criminal proceedings. The work is based on the analysis of gender, violence and the teaching of History. The sources used consist of three criminal proceedings, where all the testimonies and other parts that make up the process are analyzed. The objective of the research is to reflect on changes and continuities in violence against women, especially in cases of homicide, to understand today's society and impact groups of students who can be multipliers in the fight against this violence. To this end, the research also resulted in teaching material aimed at combating violence against women and feminicide, to promote humanized education through basic education in high school in public schools, supported by educational legislation on Maria da Penha Week and feminicide. The research provides elements for constructing a historical reflection on violence and the homicide of women, such as changes in legislation and the guarantee of rights over time, but the persistence of violent behavior and the death of women, as well as the way women's.
