Grupo Escolar Dr. Claudino dos Santos: um estudo sobre a cultura escolar na ditadura militar (1964-1985)

Abstract

The research aimed to understand the formation of the school culture that was formed in the educational space of the Dr. Claudino dos Santos School Group, in the municipality of Ipiranga-PR, during the military dictatorship in Brazil (1964-1985). The study is documentary and bibliographical. Among the school documentation consulted, we highlight that the minutes of pedagogical meetings and inaugural classes brought central information for the analysis of the educational background of the students. For the delimitation of the research problem, we started from some questions about the process of formation of a school culture in the Dr. Claudino dos Santos School Group, that is, how was constituted its daily life taking into account some elements as disciplinarization, norms and rules. to be fulfilled in the military dictatorship, as well as the division of school time, the subjects, the duties to be fulfilled, among other aspects that refer to the cultural specificities of the studied school group, which uses this nomenclature until 1982.Thus, we analyze the culture that formed in this school environment, addressing the political context related to the educational legislation in the dictatorial period experienced in that context. It was possible to observe how students and teachers behaved before some rules and norms established in the school group, as well as elements about the school hierarchy.
