Trajetória de egressos da Licenciatura em Química da UEPG na área de ensino: relações com a formação de capitais

Abstract

This research aims to highlight the academic and professional trajectory based on the relationships between scientific and social capital produced in the field of Education by graduates of the Chemistry Teaching Degree at the State University of Ponta Grossa (2008- 2022). It investigates the academic production trends of these graduates, focusing on the topics addressed, types of published works, and the academic level of the researchers involved. Using a sociological approach based on Pierre Bourdieu's theories, the study analyzes how social and cultural capital influence research choices and academic trajectories. Data were collected from the Lattes Platform and categorized with the support of ATLAS.ti 23 software. Additionally, clusters analyses (Mathematica®) were performed to group subjects with similar trajectories. The results indicate a diversity of themes in academic works, with an emphasis on the areas of Teaching Strategies, Scientific Dissemination, Teaching Materials, and Teaching and Culture. The clustersing process identified subjects with similar trajectories, grouping them and highlighting the complexity of academic dynamics and the influence of individual, social, and institutional factors on scientific production. It was also observed that there is an unequal distribution in the types of academic productions, with a greater emphasis on full articles and extended abstracts during the master's and doctoral training periods. This indicates that the higher the academic level, the more robust scientific capital these graduates accumulate. Undergraduate students contribute in various formats, such as abstracts and book chapters, while master's and doctoral students tend to focus on full papers, often in specialized fields.
