Necropolíticas Espaciais e a Instituição de Masculinidades de Jovens Homens envolvidos na Violência Homicida na Cidade de Ponta Grossa, Paraná

Abstract

This research aims to understand how are established masculinities of poor young men living at peripheral areas and involved with homicide violence due to a negotiation with spatial necropolitics. Thus, spatial sample was Ponta Grossa city, Paraná. Research operationalization covered two related investigation ways. First was organized by document analysis of 86 police inquiries of murder registered between 2012 and 2015 at Ponta Grossa city. Second was the qualitative analysis of semi structured interviews conducted with two groups: 15 poor teenagers involved with drugs living at peripheral areas and 7 young men involved directly with at least one murder. Homicide cases are characterized by concentration at poor peripheral areas and involve mostly young, black men which are involved to illegal drugs. Areas that concentrate violence at urban space are constituted by relational spatialities that enable murder keep massive and predictable. Daily life of teenagers and youth who experience violent spaces is marked by places and times of greater or lesser tension. This discontinuity can be seen also in life path of homicidal youth thus violence is kept by a spatialities network that uses body violence as an interrelated agent. Establishment of masculinity to these young men is composed in drugaddiction activities and infractions while violence is willing to communicate an guide positioning in power relations from composition of masculinity local hegemony. Spatial presence of violent death is not done by violent places only but it is a relational and multiscalar effort. Spatial restraint from management of violent death oriented to a particular stratum of population produces an perverse relation to the most intimate aspects of these young men, including feeling as a man, keeping alive or interaction with their identity pairs.
