Fontes não visíveis ao público na significação de notícias sobre violência urbana: a transposição de narrativas no telejornalismo policial.

Abstract

The purpose of this work is the understanding and identification of informants present in the meaning and structure of news statements of telejournalism in the police editorial, but which are not visible to the public receiving the message. For this, debates are held about the relationships between sources and journalists and the establishment of symbolic power through the media, reflecting, among other elements, symbolic violence and the predominance of dominant groups in the production of information. Thus, the study proposes to classify as an font not visible to the public this type of issuer of narratives related to crimes of urban violence. The work involved mapping correlations between police reports and data collected in interviews; survey of records and participant observation of the production routine of Balanço Geral/AP, a newscast belonging to TV Equinócio, an affiliate of Rede Record in Amapá. The investigation of information took place between 2019 and 2020. In all, 96 releases related to police incidents and 40 editions of the news were analyzed. Among the methodological strategies adopted, there was a search for and identification of nuances in the agents' experiences to help understand the phenomenon observed. The interpretation of the broadcaster's data and official information allows the verification of the transposition and appropriation of narratives, tacitly or not, resulting in the invisibility of the source.
