Abstract

Technologies for data acquisition and processing that provide greater and better understanding of physical processes useful for the development of products applied in industrial processes include basic requirements for meeting needs in the development of society. Thus, this work consisted of investigating and experimentally operating a system of sign acquisition, data processing and information output for the hydrodynamic diagnosis of flow in a base model of a reactor used in the treatment of water and effluents. The system comprises a net of sensors with electrical signals captured inside the reactor model, to which was imposed a flow of continuous dilution and injection of an electrolytic tracer. The propagation of the tracer mass is recorded in time intervals and translated into graphic, numerical descriptive and computational production of internal images of the studied volume. With the use of this methodology, it was possible to validate tests, consisting of mass recovery, modeling of concentrations and their distributions, evaluations of time of permanence of the mass, as well as providing tools to visualize the displacement of the mass in the internal volume of the reactor model in the intention to detect internal flow characteristics and any interference that may be useful in improving the efficiency of the equipment.
