Compreensão dos conceitos de área do círculo e volume com o uso de tendências metodológicas na educação do campo

Abstract

The biggest challenge for educators who work in Basic Education, particularly in Math education, is to develop the contents in a classroom in a way that the student can see the meaning in learning, and use the knowledge in their routine. Teachers who work in Rural Education face this challenge. With this perspective we developed this work with the general objective of investigating and applying a consisting proposal of some experimental and contextualized activities in relation to the rural area, the countryside, where students live, work and study. The activities were developed in a class of 9th grade of Elementary School in a rural school pertaining to Carambeí city in the State of Paraná. A questionnaire was elaborated to know about projects ativities carried out by students‟ families and to identify the Math content among other activities. In a dialogue stablished by teacher about the Math knowledge determined by school and the work of students‟ families, in this case, their work in the dairy, that it arose the problematization of the research: to verify the students‟ learning, how much they learn e what are the advantages when they use the Mathematical Modelling and the Problem Solving to teach contents like the length of the circumference, area of the circle, graduated ruler to measure the height of the vessel and the volume of the cylindrical vessel. The results of the research demonstrate that the use of methodological trends allows a process of teaching and learning more dynamic and based on students of the field‟s reality.
