Indicadores de alfabetização científica evidenciados em atividades promovidas por museus de ciências

Abstract

The present research had as its object of study the contribution of educational actions of science museums to Scientific Literacy. Its general objective was to investigate the contribution of museum activities to the promotion of Scientific Literacy (SC). To this end, we sought to highlight the SC indicators present in activities promoted in three different museum spaces, among them the Natural Sciences Museum of the State University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG), in Ponta Grossa-PR, the Ecomuseum, located in the Irati National Forest (Flona), in Fernandes Pinheiro-PR and the Geosciences Museum itself, on the Unicentro Campus, in Irati-PR. In each of the educational activities, we sought to highlight their contribution to the promotion of SC through activities developed in these different non-formal spaces. To reach its results, the research had the participation of nine academics from the Geography Degree course, at Unicentro, Irati-PR Campus. This is a qualitative and exploratory research study. Data were collected from a bibliographic study, visits to non- formal spaces, a questionnaire and field diary records. The questionnaire responses and the interview transcripts were analyzed using scientific literacy indicators as a guide. After the pedagogical intervention and the field trips, it was possible to highlight the CA indicators in each activity, as well as their contribution to the promotion of Scientific Literacy through activities developed in non-formal teaching spaces. At the end of the work, CA indicators were highlighted in all activities carried out.
