Conjuntura e acontecimento: uma análise do 29 de abril de 2015 a partir dos jornais “Folha de Londrina” e “Gazeta do Povo”

Abstract

The method of analysis of conjuncture is traditionally composed of analysis tools that, according to its theory, make it possible to look critically at a given reality and to identify the 'event', the “scenario”, the “actors”, the “correlation of forces” and the “articulation between conjuncture and structure”. This dissertation aims to problematize the notion of “event”, developed by Herbert de Souza in the application of the research methodology of the conjuncture analysis. The problematization consists of discovering “if’” and “in what terms” the event can be studied according to the method of the traditional conjuncture analysis, trying to demonstrate its complexity as a category thought in social terms. The research has an exploratory and documentary nature, and its empirical basis is composed of the journalistic material of the newspapers Gazeta do Povo and Folha de Londrina, between February and September 2015, on the strike movement that culminated in the occurrence of the event of April 29, 2015, in the Civic Center of Curitiba, Paraná. We have as specific objectives: the collection of journalistic material to provide a technical basis for the narrative of the strike movement of 2015, with the cataloging of this information and the critical interpretation of this material that led to the preparation of appendices and annexes based on the data collected; the accomplishment of a conjunctural analysis, identifying the relations between the social, political and economic conditions that contributed to the occurrence of the event of April 29, 2015; and to point out/intend theoretical elements of structuralism and post-structuralism, with the main theoretical references Karl Marx, Louis Althusser, Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari, in order to identify possible limitations and gaps, as well as the means to favor reciprocal complementarity.
