O PROCESSO DE IMPLEMENTAÇÃO DA POLÍTICA NACIONAL DE SAÚDE INTEGRAL LGBT NO MUNICÍPIO DE PONTA GROSSA – PR.

Abstract

The overall objective of this study is focused on the implementation of the National Policy for the Integral Health in relation to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transvestite and Transsexual people located in the city of Ponta Grossa, Paraná. This discussion is relevant because it concludes that this population is a vulnerable group, due to the risks and damages they are exposed to, besides the characteristic of the universality, integrality and participation of the community in the structure of public health in Brazil. The general objective is to understand how the process of implementing the LGBT Comprehensive Health Policy in the city of Ponta Grossa-PR occurs. This study is conducted through interdisciplinary research, of a qualitative nature, through exploratory research, while also utilizing bibliographic and documentary research. Field research was conducted for data collection through semi-structured interviews in order to respond to the objectives. Afterwards, content analysis was used to perform proper analysis of the interviews. The critical dialectical method was adopted to understand the results. Starting from this method, the work is structured as follows: the first chapter discusses social protection and social policy as an approach to State actions, as well as the creation of the Unified Health System from the Sanitary Reform to the current policy of the State. The second chapter focuses on the vulnerability of the LGBT population, as well as its trajectory over the years until the creation of the integral Health Policy for this segment, which becomes the object of analysis. In the third chapter, the municipality of Ponta Grossa and the NGO Renascer are characterized as research locus, as well as the analysis of the collected interviews to finally conclude. Five categories of analysis were listed, which lead to the conclusion that there is a partial implementation of said Policy in the municipality.
