YouTube e Ensino de História: pensando as narrativas sobre a Independência do Brasil no Ensino Fundamental

Abstract

This paper aims to investigate the possibilities and challenges of using the YouTube platform for school History teaching, selecting asits object the theme of Brazil's independence process. We start from the need for changes in relationships and teaching-learning practices for the newest generations of students, the “residents” of Middle School. A comparative analysis of audiovisual sources, selected from the platform's channels, whose reach is relevant, is proposed, in order to understand the narratives they present about Independence, as well as how they structure their materials. Finally, a didactic sequence will be proposed with the purpose of assisting in the “literacy” process in the use of digital media, in addition to allowing reflection on the Brazil's Independence process.
