Abstract

The current research aims to analyze the spatial structure of the tourist mobility of the municipality of Ponta Grossa, in the rural and urban areas, from the following attractions: Resurrection Abbey, Porto Brazos Winery, Campos Gerais Museum, Archeology Museum and State Park of Vila Velha. Mobility becomes an essential aspect of people's daily lives and also of leisure-related practices, such as tourism. The choice of tourist attractions, relevant to location, visitation and nature in cultural terms, is based on the categories of the geographical method - categories such as form, function, structure and process - because the mentioned attractions have a form as well as distinguished tourist functions, depending on an internal and external structure and all the attractions go through the touristification process. The use of such variables that include the social agents, the firms, the institutions, the infrastructures and the ecological environment. It was verified the importance of mobility for tourism purposes, both in the urban space and in the rural area. While technical variable, structured interviews were applied with the purpose of giving voice to social agents of public power, private initiative and local residents, as well as field observations, documents' consultations, websites and social networks. According to the study, the city of Ponta Grossa presents the use of new media in disclosure, but they still need to be worked on so that they become effective in the dissemination process. On the other hand, the transport infrastructure with its respective public and private partnerships needs more investments in order to facilitate access mainly to the rural area and its respective tourist attractions, such as the need of pavement the roads that connect tourist attractions and the insertion of bicycle path infrastructure in these places. Regarding signage, they are also considered insufficient due to the few indicative signs when there are attractions that could indicate their existence and be in other languages. Accessibility is insufficient with regard, to the few options of attractions that have an infrastructure that attends the public with locomotion difficulty. That said, it is essential to mention the importance of the interrelation of all the tourist space elements, where mobility is an integral part of this space, because, for its perfect functionality, each element, although acting separately, relates to each member, composing a circuit, as well as the tourist space of Ponta Grossa.
