Abstract

The present study is dedicated to the the relations of women with the public policy of the APLs, in the cities of Imbituva and Terra Roxa, and also, their trajectory, which seeks to understand the interactions of these women with the productive and reproductive activities under their responsibility. Regarding research, it has a quantitative approach, analyzing the official documents and data on both APLs, available on the IPARDES website. Qualitative data were collected from semi-structured interviews with women who started their productive activities inside their homes, seeking to know how they conciliated so many activities that happened parallel or overlap. The women from both APLs had similar experiences regarding their involvement with the productive sector, however with particularities that differentiate them, as for their relationship with their families, their competitors, their own APL and the city. The survey reveals that all the women interviewed feeling uncomfortable with their economic situation, made a movement to generate income, taking advantage of knowledge already acquired and that they performed in their free time. By teaching what they knew to other women, they multiplied business, impacted the city and region where they were. They had an effective participation in the implementation of the Local Productive Arrangements policy and took care of their families, adapting their homes and their lives, leaving an impacting legacy in both cities.
