Abstract

This reflection aims to show the spatial experiences that the group of travestis and transsexuals experienced in healthcare spaces in the city of Ponta Grossa - Paraná. Are two groups who through their daily practices destabilize a world organized for men and women, questioning and proposing new configurations between sex, gender, and desire. From this perspective the guys who do not meet the established standards are considered deviant, sick and so many other adjectives created to classify these groups. The group of travestis and transsexuals challenge the binary order through its corporeality, seeking to secure space within society. In this research, the interviewees are referred to as 'travestis' and 'transsexual', by identifying themselves as females, and that mostly were involved with the activity of prostitution. The lived spatiality and withdrawals from their accounts, are important for the reasoning as groups and as individual essence. The space is open and in constant motion, constructed from new relationships, and guiding choices lay claim respect for different identities. After the analysis of interviews with 16 travestis and transsexuals, we detected 467 evocations concerning relations established in different spatiality, as the territory of prostitution, to NGOs, work, university, home, and the focus of this reflection, relations with the spatiality of health. The proposition of health policies for specific groups stirs controversy by being at first antagonistic to the universality advocated constitutionally, among which the right to health social rights. Health care as a right and duty of the state, in the Brazilian reality is illusory in practice. In the proposal to combat inequities, reversing frames of exclusion and violation of fundamental human rights, brings the need to focus of specific actions and policies for the realization of the principle of universality to all citizens. One of the most targeted actions to this question is the National Comprehensive Health LGBT - Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people, which aims to implement actions in the period between the years 2012-2015, with goals to fighting discrimination and reduction health inequalities related to these groups. However, the spatiality of Health care arises while heterossexuality. From interviews, it was evident the spatiality of Health presents the experience of those interdicted, structured relationships that interdiction second spatially constrain the existence of a call to respect life and differences. Questioning the relationship between health and the spatiality of trans experience produces both subsidies for the effectiveness of existing public policies and produces an emancipatory Geography.
