Abstract
Many students today feel unmotivated in their studies due to a variety of factors, with no pre-disposition to learning, so it becomes increasingly difficult to find evidence of meaningful learning. Seeking a solution to this problem, a notebook was planned that contemplated the relation of the concepts of Acoustics with the students' daily life, the use of technologies and a historical and cultural approach. The goal is, in addition to motivating them in their studies, to broaden their culture through the teaching of physics using music as well. The work is theoretically based on the methodologies of Vygostsky, Ausubel and Novak. The evaluation was performed through conceptual maps, then analyzed with Iramuteq software. The didactic proposal was applied to 12 adolescents between 13 and 17 years old, being the oldest of the High School and the others of the Fundamental. These students were recovering in the Better Living Therapeutic Community, located in the city of Ponta Grossa - PR, in the academic year of 2017. For the application of the didactic product, a Potentially Significant Teaching Unit was
created, comprising 15 classes, in 3 afternoons. Using this teaching strategy, students were motivated to learn, and there was evidence of meaningful learning. The result of this master's degree is a didactic book that contemplates the studies of Acoustics, destined to teachers of both Elementary and Middle Schools. In each chapter of this book the reader is allowed an introduction with a historical and cultural approach to the concepts of Waves, Acoustics and Music. In each theme the mediator will find videos that illustrate the subject and also experiences like the Kundt Tube. The highlight of the notebook is the construction of a simple Theremin with an Arduino board, in which the teacher follows a step by step from its construction to application with students.
