Aproximações e diferenças de meios jornalísticos independentes digitais com pautas sobre afetos e diversidades na América Latina

Abstract

A comparison is made between the content of the independent media 'Agência Presentes', 'Sentiido' and 'Revista Híbrida' to reflect, mainly, the differences in the way of dealing with events that correspond to gender and sexuality issues, also understood as diversities and affections, respectively. Both independent (non-commercial) news sites have a similarly segmented editorial line. It is also considered that this type of research collaborates and is involved with Studies in Journalism with a Gender Perspective. Based on the theoretical understanding of Journalistic Convergence, it is pointed out that, in addition to the uses of digital tools, one must check which meanings are developed, especially because it deals with means with positioned editorial lines. Based on an exploratory and comparative analysis of the content of independent media (2017-2019/01), the study is justified by the need to investigate journalistic models that can problematize compulsory heteronormativity to understand its specific processes, frameworks, relationships and / or, even, stereotyped constructions. The results reveal production trends linked to the events of social groups and demonstrate how journalists claim the defense of human rights in a digital network, observed by the evidence to the facts that involve violence, religion and culture. The countries covered, the nature of the events, the narrative modalities, the notable criteria, agents and sources, the most discussed subjects and the identities represented are checked to demonstrate how the independent media problematize issues about diversity and which aspects fail to gain specific visibility.
