Heranças de histórias?: a posse de livros nos inventários post mortem de Castro entre 1800 e 1870.

Abstract

Nossa fonte principal de estudo são as informações que trazem os inventários post mortem, redigidos na cidade de Castro (PR), entre 1800 e 1870. A investigação dos documentos fornecerá o objeto mais específico dentro da nossa proposta, que são os registros dos livros neles inventariados, possibilitando uma pesquisa na área da História Cultural. A análise da documentação seguirá o seguinte procedimento: a. Apreender as características da cidade de Castro no século XIX, para situar a sociedade em estudo; b. Identificar os possíveis proprietários de livros no período e região considerados; c. Traçar um perfil destes proprietários, considerando o universo sociocultural no qual estavam inseridos; d. Apreender qual era, afinal, a posição ocupada por este objeto (o livro) no interior da sociedade de Castro (e brasileira).

Our primary source of study is the information that bring the post mortem inventories, drawn up in the city of Castro (PR), between 1800 and 1870. The investigation of the documents will provide more specific object within our proposal, which are records of booksinventoried them, enabling a search in the area of Cultural History.The analysis of the documentation will follow these procedures: a.Grasp the characteristics of the city of Castro in the nineteenth century, to put society under study; b. Identify the possible owners of books in the period and region considered; c. Draw a profile of theseowners, considering the socio-cultural universe in which they wereinserted; and d. Grasp what was, after all, the position occupied by this object (the book) within the society of Castro (and brazilian).
