Redução da Emissão de CO2: Subsídio ou Tributo?

Abstract

This work aims to analyze the impact of applying a tax with punitive characteristics and a subsidy with the purpose of incentive on carbon emissions in the economy, using the dynamic stochastic general equilibrium model (DSGE) for the Brazilian economy with annual data. from 2001 to 2020. The results show that the adoption of these fiscal policies is efficient for improving environmental quality and macroeconomic variables, thus making the application of these policies advantageous.
