Atendimento às denúncias de violência obstétrica em Ponta Grossa/PR: desafios e possibilidades para a implementação de uma rede intersetorial.

Abstract

This work aimed to identify, through empirical research, the existing channels suitable for receiving complaints about obstetric violence situations in the city of Ponta Grossa/PR, as well as investigate the possibilities and challenges for building an intersectoral network to respond to these complaints. Using the grounded theory (GT) methodology, an analysis was carried out on the existence of a protection and care network for women who suffer obstetric violence, formed by the available channels. With the carrying out of focus groups, it was possible to understand the experiences of women related to obstetric violence situations and identify the channels that they recognize as competent places to report these cases to. Through interviews with the agents responsible for the listed channels, it was possible to assimilate their perceptions about the theme of obstetric violence and their attributions in light of this. Thus, the research analyzed how and if these channels are trained to receive complaints, with the comprehension that it is possible to build a network aimed at assisting women who seek to report situations of obstetric violence through the existing channels in order to give effect to existing legislation and promote their rights.
