Abstract
In this work we discuss scattering in quantum graphs using the Green’s function approach. We
show that is possible to study wells and barriers by mapping such systems into quantum graphs.
By making an analytic extension of the scattering matrix to the complex plane, we analyze the
position of their poles that provides the types of existent states in such systems. The poles of
scattering matrix can be obtained by the Green’s function poles. Some scattering systems are
built, which are interpreted as quantum devices, allowing the analysis of its transmission in
arrangements of these devices in series and parallel.
