Abordagem sobre educação sexual para alunos com Síndrome de Down: uma proposta educacional

Abstract

The inclusion has passed on a large scale in the educational field. Sexual education should be taken into account in this inclusive process, because it provides self-confidence and protection. We researched and observed the shortage of materials adapted to approach of Sexual education for students with Down syndrome, then draw the following question :For guiding this research: it is possible to elaborate together with teachers of the network Special Education, materials adapted to address sexual education to pupils with Down syndrome? Plot as general objective to develop a supporting material on sexual education for students with Down's syndrome and how specific objectives: to investigate how the teachers of special education network to carry out the sexual education of pupils with Down's syndrome and summarise the main normative references on sexual education. As theoretical reference used for the sexual education of persons with disabilities, supporting us in Maia (2001, 2005, 2006, 2014, 2015 and 2016), Maia and Ribeiro (2009), Altmann (2003), Vitiello (1995), Ribeiro (1990), Cardoso (2016), among others. to contemplate the objectives proposed conducted a qualitative research, which has been applied at APAE (Association of Parents and Friends of Exceptional Children) of the city of Carambeí and ASSARTE (Artisanal Association of the Exceptional of Ponta Grossa) in the city of Ponta Grossa - PR. For the treatment of the data collected was used to content analysis of Bardin (1997). First we present the special education and its ideals, explain how occurs the syndrome, to conceptualize the sexuality and sexual education of people with Down syndrome. In response, we are dealing with the training of teachers of particular network of education and if they have exploited to address sexual education with their students, followed by proposals for methodologies to approach.Subsequently, we bring the theoretical and methodological basis for the collection and analysis of data, the extension course offered to teachers: Development of didactic material on sexual education for students with Down syndrome, which aimed to develop a supporting material on sexual education for students with Down syndrome, and finally, the product of the course.From the study it was possible to prepare, together with the teachers, materials to address sexual education with their students with Down syndrome. It is hoped that this proposal of support material, bring contributions to students and teachers in terms of sexual education.
