Abstract
The elaboration of the present research of the Professional Masters in History
Teaching deals with the use of the Peacemakig Circles methodology, by Kay Pranis,
in the proactive perspective, by Ted Wachtel, in History teaching. The proposed
problem is: how can the use of the circle practices methodology help in the gender
debate, body and sexuality in History Teaching and create a fair and equitable
environment at school? For this, it was necessary to analyze how gender relations are
in the school space. In this perspective, the sources used for the research consisted
of a set of school records Minutes of the conflicts experienced by the girls, from 2015
to 2019 and of the school regiments of two public schools in the municipality of Ponta
Grossa - PR - selected in the research. A traditional school and a school that has
implemented the Restorative Justice Program and circle practices in the last four years.
The methodology adopted in the research was the bibliographic review and
documental analysis of formal school records, occurrences records and school
regiment. For the records analysis, the concepts of Michel Foucault's theory of
discourse were applied. The result found in school records is a series of problems that
can be described as belonging to different themes: dating, sexuality, violence,
harassment, among others. For the propositional part, we developed a playful
paradidactic material to assist the circle practices about gender: body and sexuality.
The material consists of a box with 35 cards with questions that help in the circle
practice development, these are questions that can be used as check in check out
and/or guiding questions. As well as eight historical letters that inform about concepts
and historical facts related to the research topic.
