Desinfecção de cavidades com clorexidina

Abstract

Este trabalho objetivou realizar uma revisão de literatura abordando o uso da clorexidina como agente desinfetante de cavidades e sua influência na união resina/dentina.A análise de alguns trabalhos permitiu concluir que é importante realizar a limpeza cavitária com clorexidina, pois sua ação desinfetante protege a estrutura dentária de sensibilidade pós-operatória e de cáries recorrentes. Além disso, observou-se que os agentes de limpeza em geral não influenciam no processo de adesão.

The aim of this work was to carry out a literature revision regarding the use of chlorexidine as a disinfecting agent of cavities, as well as its influence in the adherence of resin to dentine. The analysis of some works led to the conclusion that it is important to clean the cavities with chlorexidine because its disinfecting action protects the dental structure against postoperative sensitivity and recurrent caries. Moreover, it was possible to verify that the cleaning agents in general have no influence in the adhesion process.
