Políticas Públicas Educacionais e Institucionais de incentivo à tecnologia da informação e comunicação na Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa: uma perspectiva a partir da visão de Docentes e Discentes da UEPG

Abstract

Due to the constant changes occurring in the contemporary organizational context, organizations have been seeking new ways and methods to develop their services. The educational sector, in this context of changes, has also needed to adapt its functions, such as the use of information and communication technology, one of its main support instruments. Educational public policy, in essence, aims to develop, ensure, and encourage the quality of public education, directly influencing the educational environment. During the Covid-19 pandemic, universities adopted Emergency Remote Teaching (ERT) as a form of instruction, using various technological means for conducting classes. Subsequently, after the resumption of the academic period in remote form, some changes in the way work is done by teachers and the adaptation of students to this new context became noticeable. Among these changes, some difficulties were also encountered, such as uncertainty about the ongoing situation, changes in routines, adaptation to new methodologies, difficulty in interaction, emotional and mental health factors, and extra dedication altering work schedules.This study aims to understand how educational public policies and institutional initiatives encouraged the use of information and communication technology at the State University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG) from 2019 to 2021, and whether they contribute to teaching and the efficiency of management within its user community, including students and professors. The research will be characterized as basic quantitative-qualitative, and the method used will involve document analysis. A semi-structured interview will also be conducted, followed by an analysis through a focus group, to explore educational policies and initiatives at the university in various aspects.
