O curso de pedagogia da Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa: aspectos históricos e reflexões pós-diretrizes curriculares nacionais

Abstract

O artigo apresenta os principais aspectos relacionados à trajetória histórica do Curso de Pedagogia da Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa (1962- 2006) e indica algumas reflexões sobre a última reformulação, efetuada em 2006, após a aprovação das Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais. Concluiu-se que a reformulação investigada, ao seguir as Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais, possui um espectro de formação bastante abrangente, pois almeja formar pedagogos para a docência, formação inicial para a pesquisa e para a gestão educacional. Essa pulverização e dispersão podem prejudicar as questões essenciais da formação que deveriam ser privilegiadas.

The paper presents the main aspects related to the history of the Course of Pedagogy of the State University of Ponta Grossa Brazil (1962-2006) and points out some thoughts on the last curriculum re-organization, carried out in 2006, after the approval of the new National Curriculum Guidelines. It concludes that the new curriculum investigated, following the national guidelines, has a wide spectrum of training since it searches prepare professionals for teaching (Early and Primary education), initial preparation for research and for school management. This widespread and dispersion can be harmful to guarantee the essential aspects of the teacher training which must be privilege.
