Pensar um Futebol -Menor: o Clube Esportivo Aimoré como expressão da comunidade de São Leopoldo, RS

Abstract

This present research aims to address what we will call minor football. Understood in this work, from a Deleuzian reading, the universe that surrounds small football clubs (non-media teams). They compete for second and third divisions, generally being limited to local and regional competitions, squads that are often very far from the media spotlight and the important jousting relationships with fans of other football teams. We want to focus more specifically on the fan practices that take place in the games of Clube Esportivo Aimoré, in the city of São Leopoldo, in the Rio dos Sinos Valley region, in Rio Grande do Sul. From the different ways of cheering and following, live, the club and the games of CE Aimoré, carried out by its fans, will seek to understand some of the mechanisms and logic present in the production of identity and image of a particular city, in this case the identity of being leopoldense and the image of São Leopoldo. Image that its inhabitants, and the inhabitants of other surrounding cities, will consume, reproduce and or oppose. The question that animates this work is: How does the Aimoré Sports Club, the Indian Capilé, present in its recent history the expressions of this fan community? Thus, we seek to think about the images and discourses that circulate through the various layers of both the physical and virtual city (social networks and alternative media linked to ordinary fans and militants).
