Ferrovia: patrimônio cultural estudo sobre a ferrovia brasileira a partir da região dos Campos Gerais (PR)

Abstract

O (re)conhecimento do patrimônio cultural da ferrovia e da ferrovia como um patrimônio cultural do Brasil são os objetivos principais da tese. O estudo firma-se na análise das narrativas que auxiliaram a construção da simbologia da ferrovia brasileira ao longo da sua história secular: a narrativa da memória da sociedade e, especialmente, dos trabalhadores ferroviários, a narrativa dos textos publicados sobre o transporte ferroviário, a narrativa estampada em fotografias sobre a ferrovia e a narrativa das suas edificações histórico-culturais. Com o entendimento conceitual sobre a organização do espaço urbano associado à memória social e ao patrimônio cultural, buscou-se apreender a substância dessas narrativas considerando-se a participação da ferrovia na economia (internacional, brasileira e regional), na integração regional e nacional, no processo da urbanização brasileira e na organização urbana das cidades ferroviárias, do ponto de vista estrutural, econômico, social e cultural. A delimitação espacial escolhida para a pesquisa é a região dos Campos Gerais (centro-sul do Estado do Paraná), que possui histórico e infra-estrutura ferroviária com características e elementos pertinentes para o referido estudo.

The recognition of the cultural patrimony of the railroad and of the railroad as a cultural patrimony of Brazil is the principal objectives of the thesis. The study is firm in the analyzes of the narratives that aided the construction of the symbol of the Brazilian railroad along yours history secular: the narrative of the memory of thesociety and,especialy, of the rail workers, the narrative of the texts published on the rail transport, the narrative print in pictures on the railroad and the narrative of your historical-cultural constructions. With the conceptual understanding about the organization of the associated urban space the social memory and to the cultural patrimony, it was looked for ti apprehend it nourishes of those narratives being considered the participation of the railroad in the economy (intenational, Brazilian and regional), in the regional and national integration, in the process of the Brazilian urbanization and in the urban organization of the rail cities, of the structural point of view, economical, social and cultural. The space to border on chosen for the research is the Campos Gerais´s area (center-south of the State of Paraná), that possesses historical and rail infrastructure with characteristics and pertinent elements for the referred study.
