Abstract
The public health system adopted in Brazil guarantees the equity and universality of
its access and its gateway is in the Basic Health Units, which have a purpose to attend
up to 80% of the population's basic health problems. The useges of cardiovascular risk
stratification, in addition to multidisciplinary interventions, started at the beginning of
the 20th century, due to the jump in mortality that heart diseases started to cause and
are configured as important tools for accurate diagnosis and treatment, interruption of
range worsening risk and consequently a decrease in mortality. There are several
common risk factors for cardiovascular disease such as arterial hypertension, diabetes
mellitus, smoking, dyslipidemia and psychosocial factors. Therefore, this research
aimed to stratify the cardiovascular risk level of patients included in the group of noncommunicable chronic diseases, treated at the UBS (Basic Health Unit) Nossa
Senhora do Rocio and Nossa Senhora da Salete in the municipality of União da VitóriaPR, besides evaluating whether the patients are within goals adopted by the Brazilian
guidelines for cardiovascular prevention. This work was carried out by analyzing the
medical records of 164 patients, classified by sociodemographic, laboratory,
medicative, multidisciplinary team and clinical interpretation characteristics. The age
group of the stratified patients was predominantly above 60 years old, with 59.8% of
the patients being of the female sex. When comparing the general stratification of
patients in both UBS (Basic Health Unit), we obtained a stratification of 26.2% of
patients in the very high risk range, 51.2% in the high risk range, 18.9% in the
intermediate risk range and finally, 3.7% of patients in the low-risk range. In this study
a prevalence of approximately 75% of stratified patients was observed, presenting
themselves outside the therapeutic goals according to the Brazilian Consensus for the
Standardization of Lipid Profile. Among the analyzed records and with regard to the
pressure goal, a prevalence of uncontrolled blood pressure can be observed in the
intermediate risk groups of 38.7% and very high risk of 39.5%. Consequently, it is
concluded that after analyzing all groups, there was a significant prevalence between
the levels of high and very high risk stratification, showing forceful numbers, in addition
to a relevant percentage of patients with cardiovascular risk at low and intermediate
levels who exhibit high correlations with exponential risk factors. There is a need for
greater popularization of knowledge about the goals, mainly aiming at secondary
prevention.
