O mito de lugar na obra “Saga da Esperança: Socialismo Utópico à beira do Ivaí” de Josué Corrêa Fernandes, uma leitura na interface entre Geografia e Literatura

Abstract

This paper aims to present a reading of the work of Josué Corrêa Fernandes, entitled "A Saga da Esperança: Socialismo Utópico À Beira do Ivaí" from the concept of myth of place (SHIELDS, 1991). The reading is contextualized in academic works that explore the relations between Geography and Literature in the apprehension of human meanings of place. The search walked in the understanding of literature and the movements in spaces narrated in the work of Josué Corrêa Fernandes, thus bringing an interpretation from concepts that establish identities to geographic language. In this way, it was observed how the myth of place is established in the landscapes and places narrated. Therefore, at the end, two moments are explained: the myth of place as a concept, in relation to the fictional place of the work and the myth of place in the imagined landscape in the reading of the narrative.
