Violência política de gênero no ambiente virtual: perspectivas na educação para as mídias e na cultura de paz

Abstract

This study has as research object the discourses of gender violence in the virtual environment, understanding the possibilities and dialogues in front of the Culture of Peace and Education for the media in the deconstruction of structures of violence. Guided by indirect bibliographic written documentary research, based on the Case Study method and Computer-Mediated Discourse Analysis. The central question of the research is “What are the possibilities of confronting discourses of political gender violence in the virtual environment in front of Culture of Peace and Education for the Media?”. Through the understanding of gender violence, gender political violence, women's political participation, the Culture of Peace, Education for the media and discourses found on digital platforms, the trajectory of writing was built. This allows us to understand that the structures of exclusion and violence against women still exist in society, causing women to have unequal access to power. The discourse that echoes in digital social networks is permeated by violence and rejects women who seek to occupy spaces historically belonging to men. Thus, the research understands the importance of articulations with Studies for Peace and Education for the media, since only emancipated, critical and conscious subjects are able to break with the structures that consolidate this model of patriarchy structural. The theoretical basis is developed through the authors Biroli (2014) (2018), Jares (2002), Salles Filho (2016), Freire, (1997) (1996) (1980), Herring (2002), and Tiburi (2018) which enable the articulation and theorization of the themes.
