Irati-Pr: imprensa e educação na primeira república

Abstract

O presente trabalho refere-se a um estudo em desenvolvimento no curso de Pós-Graduação da UEPG com o tema “Irati-Pr: Imprensa e Educação na Primeira República”, nos primeiros jornais que vincularam no município de Irati – Pr, buscando compreender qual o discurso de educação era vinculado nos jornais. Esta proposta está articulada ao projeto de pesquisa “História das Instituições Escolares nos Campos Gerais-PR” do grupo de pesquisa HISTEDBR Campos Gerais – PR na Linha de Pesquisa: Instituições Escolares, onde o grupo está trabalhando com vinte cinco cidades do Paraná, com a proposta de desenvolver uma pesquisa com estudos comparativos das transformações históricas da relação entre Instituição escolar e a formação da Sociedade Capitalista na Primeira República nos Campos Gerais. O que moveu realizar este estudo é a falta de informações sobre a educação em Irati na Primeira República e também a necessidade de compreender como um dos primeiros jornais da época divulgava estas informações. Poucos são as fontes bibliográficas e os trabalhos existentes de teses e dissertações no Brasil, e em Irati- este trabalho é pioneiro. Levando em consideração tal precariedade, o presente projeto pretende pesquisar nos jornais de Irati, veiculados na Primeira República, o interesse sobre as instituições Pública e Estatal, numa perspectiva histórico-crítica, abordando as transformações, concepção e valores relacionados ao processo de criação das Instituições Escolares e o papel atribuído à educação pela sociedade da qual o jornal se colocava como porta voz, no momento em que o modelo educacional liberalista começava a tomar forma, ainda que, a questão da instrução pública tenha representado mais uma bandeira para os discursos da sociedade burguesa na época. A delimitação do estudo entre 1889 a 1930, na Primeira República, deve-se ao fato por ser o período onde o Jornal de Irati foi fundado até meados da primeira República onde os primeiros grupos escolares já estavam em funcionamento nos Campos Gerais, como também várias mudanças e transformações ocorreram na política, economia e na sociedade da época.A partir da identificação das escolas e arquivos e da documentação existentes, quando toma impulso à instalação das escolas na região, esta sendo possível organizar incursões temáticas relacionadas à educação em Irati- Pr. A pesquisa está apoiada no referencial teórico-metodológico fornecido pelo materialismo histórico dialético, pois é o norteador da análise e da crítica nesse trabalho, e por conduzir a uma visão histórica da relação entre a sociedade e a educação, num esforço de compreensão e reconstrução, no plano teórico, das diferentes mediações sociais constitutivas, buscando nos fenômenos as múltiplas determinações ou mediações que os constituem, relacionando parte-todo, sujeito-objeto ou objetividade-subjetividade, passado-presente dentro de uma totalidade histórica.

This research is being taken in the post- graduation course at UEPG, and its subject is “ Irati- PR: the Press and Education (1889 a 1930, ), in periodicals that circulated in Irati city- PR, seeking to understand which Education speech was entailed. This proposal is articulated to the research project” History of the School Institutions in Campos Gerais – PR, from the research group HISTEDBR- Campos Gerais-PR, in the research line: School Institutions, where the group is working with twenty five cities, with the proposal of developing a research that seeks to understand the historical transformations in relation to the school institutions and the formation of the Capitalist Society in the region of Campos Gerais.The first part of this research, the search and cataloguing of sources is already concluded, which brought innumerable referential for posterior analysis. What moved us to carrying on this study were the lack of information on education and also the necessity of understanding how the periodicals showed this information. The bibliographical sources are few, and the existing theses and dissertations in Brazil, and in Irati, this study is pioneer. Taking into consideration such precariousness, the present project intends to search in periodicals from Irati, propagated in the period from 1954 to 1959, the interest on Public and State education. The delimitation of the study in this period is due to the fact of being the only source of research found, although there were other periodicals in the city during previous dates, but after exhausting research, only some from 1931 were found, and they could not give subsidies for the research. From the identification of news in the written press, it is being possible to organize thematic related incursions to the education in Irati-PR.The research is supported by the theoretical-methodological referential, supplied by the historical materialism, therefore it is the point of analysis and the critic of this study, and for leading to a historical view of the relation between the society and education, in an effort of understanding and reconstruction it in the theoretical plan, of the different social constituent mediations, seeking to understand the multiple determination or mediations that constitute them, relating part-all, citizen- object, objectivity- subjectivity, past- present, inside a historical totality. The analytical categories allow us to hold historically the basic relations of the object in study. To do so, the basic categories of the dialectic historical method are being used: praxis, totality, contradiction, mediation, and reproduction. These categories give support to the relation researcher- object of research, during the unfolding of the study, unveiling the investigation procedures.
